Responsibilities:
- Answer, screen and/or respond to telephone calls
- Establish rapport with clients
- Open, review and screen correspondence
- Maintain contacts and calendar
- Open client files, maintain daily chronological files and perform routine filing of correspondence and other materials
- Draft routine correspondence
- Prepare faxes and overnight deliveries
- Work as part of a team to support other secretaries and timekeepers in the group when necessary
- Knowledge of mortgages and related documents
- Knowledge of drafting legal documents and filing of same
- Requesting information and documents from clients
- Ability to manage multiple clients and knowing their procedures and policies
Qualifications Required:
- General bankruptcy experience required
- A college degree and/or paralegal certification
- Willingness to take initiative
- Strong administrative skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strict attention to detail is a must
- Strong client relations skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidences
- Strong word processing skills
- Aptitude for or ability to learn and use new software
- Must be a true team player
