Rochester, NY, August 13, 2009: Davidson Fink LLP, a full-service law firm located in Rochester, NY, has signed a ten-year lease agreement for office space in the First Federal Plaza in downtown Rochester. The law firm employs sixty-three individuals and has a forty-year history as part of the downtown Rochester community.

As part of their new lease agreement, the firm plans to nearly double its existing space to accommodate recently-hired attorneys and staff. Expansion enhancements include the leasing of an additional floor of the First Federal Plaza, and renovating existing space. The firm plans to add several more jobs in the coming years.

“It was a logical step to expand our current space rather than relocate,” says Joshua Hudak, Director of Operations. “We looked at dozens of properties throughout the area, and none of them had all the conveniences of downtown Rochester. This decision positions us very well for future growth.”

The downtown Rochester area has seen its share of law firms leaving the city for the surrounding suburbs in recent years, but Davidson Fink LLP proves that trend may be changing. “Downtown Rochester is central to everybody,” says Hudak. “We have all the courts and government agencies within walking distance. We can operate much more efficiently without our attorneys needing to drive ten miles to court each day.”

The firm does have a suburban office in Tobey Village in Pittsford, NY to accommodate suburban clients. “We found that having a small satellite office for consultations and real estate closings was important to a segment of our clients. But we accomplished that in the most economical manner possible without having to move the entire firm,” says Hudak.
