CURTIS A. JOHNSON   -   Associate

As an associate with the firm's Commercial Litigation department, Curtis Johnson’s primary focus is on complex corporate litigation. Mr. Johnson strives to protect the interests of corporate clients in “bet-the-company” litigation. With experience in the area of large-scale, multi-party litigation Mr. Johnson effectively counsels business clients as they navigate protracted disputes. Mr. Johnson is also knowledgeable about e-discovery and the ever-changing landscape of preserving, producing and utilizing electronically stored information.

Prior to joining Davidson Fink LLP, Mr. Johnson was associated with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in Manhattan, where he represented commercial and investment banks in securities litigation, and defended them against fraud allegations. He has also handled corporate ownership disputes and participated in this country's largest bankruptcy actions.

Professional and Community Affiliations

Mr. Johnson is active in the Monroe County Bar Association and is currently chair-elect of the Young Lawyers Section. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Ethics Committee and Litigation Section. Through his bar membership, Mr. Johnson contributes significant amounts of time to Rochester Teen Court, where he helps youthful offenders avoid criminal records through a teen diversion program. Mr. Johnson is an active volunteer in Reentry Court, a Federal Probation program that helps convicted felons reenter society. Mr. Johnson is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, where he is a member of the statewide Committee on Youth Courts.
